My beautiful Erica is 30 TODAY!!!!!
I can't believe that I don't have any children in their 20's anymore.
I love being a Mom and it is a privilege to write about Erica in my blog.
This will be a series of 30 posts in honor of her 30th birthday.
So hang on.....it's Erica time.
This bundle of joy was born at 8:59 am on Jan 10th, 1986 at Baptist East.
I was so proud to be awake during this C-section and to get to see her immediately after she was born. I didn't have that experience with my first child because he was an emergency C section and I had to be put to sleep.
But....I was wide awake with Erica's birth. And it was such a wonderful experience.
She was born with a full head of hair, as you can see, and had beautiful big brown eyes.
She was a wonderful addition to our family and Keith enjoyed having a little sister.
She was 8 lbs 3 oz and was a week early!
Since she was born in January, I was able to be off work at ECS, where I taught elementary music, through spring break. Of course, after we came home from the hospital, I was really wanting to be a stay at home Mom. So, after finishing that year out....we were able and blessed for me to quit my ECS job. I still taught at the dance studio and swimming lessons in the summer....but I could be at home with them in the day time and take and pick up Keith from his preschool.
She was a cutie and stole Larry's heart and mine too. We loved her so much and enjoyed watching her go through the changes that babies go through. She learned to walk at 11 1/2 months and I knew that my baby was now growing up way too fast.
Stay tuned

Well how sweet! 30 consecutive days of posting is a big commitment! Can't wait to read the rest of them! I love you and thanks for having me!
Thanks sweetie. I have been planning to do this for awhile. I love strolling down memory lane and thinking of all of the great things about you and your life that I was blessed to be apart of.
