This is day 5 of 30 Days of Erica.
For her 4 year old birthday, we were living in a new home. We moved to our home in Germantown Trails subdivision when she was 3 1/2. By her 4th bd she was independently dressing herself. She was good at making decisions and loved to play with her friends.
She had her friend party at McDonald's. I made this cake but for the life of me can't remember the theme. She and her friends had a good time there.
Larry and I gave her the Big Girl bike and kept it hidden at her grandparents' home. She took to it quickly and enjoyed riding it in our cove. It was complete with a bike pack to carry all of her essentials when she went on a ride.
One big thing I remember about her that started about this age and continued for a few years, was her socks fetish. She hated socks that slipped down on her foot or wrinkled. She called them "PUFFY SOCKS" She did not want to wear puffy socks. So....I kept her in toddler size socks well into grade school. Every morning....I had to wrestle and pull those socks tight before putting her shoes on. It was a major workout to accomplish a wrinkle-free sock zone.
Happy to say...she has outgrown that quirk.
