I hope my posts are interesting to you. I just wanted to honor my girl and give you a tiny glimpse of why I think she is so wonderful. I did it when Keith turned 30 too and it always makes me realize how great my kids are and how much fun we had together.
Since I am a musician and music is such a huge part of my( and Larry's) life....I wanted my kiddos to have a little taste of music. Of course.....every child usually starts with piano lessons. I had mine in those lessons as soon as they were the right age. Keith liked it but not as much as he like playing sports and doing gymnastics. Erica really just wanted to take lessons because they were offered at the school during school hours, and she was able to leave class to go take her lessons. But she got into it and seemed to enjoy it.
As I have said earlier.....she always wants to skip to the performance part without working up to it. She didn't like having to practice everyday. But....I made her do it at least 15 min everyday. She got used to the regimen and didn't complain too much.
Here is her piano duet with her friend Leah. They were buddies so it was fun to watch them play together. This was grade 3. In the fall when she was in 4th grade she started taking Saxophone lessons. But....that is for another blog.
Erica, later wound up loving the COKE theme and decorated her room that way.
