Hey everybody,
This will be my last post on this blog series.
I have learned so much about enduring during a job change. The BEST part are the praises and blessings we have received during this time.
1. Larry was able to help out with our family business in the book work area. It was a huge help to me. He would not have been able to do that while working his other job.
2. WE HAD NO CAR NOTES TO PAY. Both of our jeeps were paid for so we never had to worry about that monthly bill.
3. We were able to refinance our mortgage before the ending of the job. That helped lowered our monthly note.
4. These 9 months gave us more time together. It was really weird for me at first to have Larry home so much. He has never done that except when he was sick or maybe a holiday. But even then....he was on the clock....emailing and phone calls. This time he was free of work stress and could concentrate on working on his resume and making first contacts.
5. Larry's health totally improved. Work was very physical for him and mentally taxing. He quickly recovered and has been so healthy.
6. Larry organized all of our personal business things that he had to do on a "need to " basis. I even found him smiling while shredding!
7. I had a flat tire just recently and he was here to get it repaired. Otherwise....I would have had to interrupt him at work and cause him to have to work later that day. This time....he changed the tire and got it repaired while we traded cars. That was heavenly.
8. SURPRISES: I have never been one to receive unsolicited gifts from people very well. I always want to be the giver. Well....God worked on me and put me in the position of being the receiver. It was pretty cool when my daughter was cleaning out to put her home on the market and she offered me all of her unwanted/unneeded things: bubble bath/perfume/contact solution.....all things I didn't have to spend any money on. Thanks Erica.
9. GAS WAS LOWER. Who know that the price per gallon of gas would go down? God knew! It came at a perfect time for us. Also....my fuel points from Kroger helped too.
10. THE BEST PRAISE OF ALL: Larry got a job! Yes! He accepted an offer on Saturday and starts his new job on Tues April 21. He is so excited about this new position ( director of Acct) and is looking forward to this new opportunity.
God has taught us so many things....mostly about Himself and His faithfulness. Larry was the perfect example of trusting God in this. I had to lean on Him and Larry because I had to have reassurance along the way. I can honestly say that God is faithful and true and He is the one to be praised in all of this.
Thanks for reading.
